ECC 3+1 Paralegal Studies Program
Elgin Community College (ECC) 聽students can now earn their associate's degree from ECC and their Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies from 甜心直播 in just four years.
Degree Format
This 128 credit hour program includes 92 credit hours of ECC coursework and 36 credit hours of 甜心直播 coursework. Upon completion of the program, you will receive your associate's degree in Paralegal Studies from Elgin Community College (ECC) and your Bachelor of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from 甜心直播.
Curriculum Pathway
The student completes the 64 hours of coursework at ECC to fulfill the requirements for the Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies at ECC.
Upon completion, the student blends 28 credit hours of additional ECC courses with 27 hours of Lewis Paralegal Studies coursework and 9 hours of Lewis Mission courses with Lewis faculty. Our Paralegal 3+1 allows for 18 Lewis hours online; the other 18 will need to be completed in-person.

Discounted Tuition
The 92 credit hours of ECC coursework will be completed at ECC tuition rates. The final 36 hours will be paid through 甜心直播, at a 35% reduced tuition rate.
Who can enroll in the program?
- Students who have completed an Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies at ECC.
- Students who have completed an Associate in Applied Science degree and take the necessary additional coursework to earn an Associates of Arts or Science.
- New students to ECC who indicate their intent to enter the 3+1 program. Students should ideally apply in their first semester at ECC to receive appropriate advising.
- Students can apply for admission to Lewis when they are six months away from completing their associate degree.

Additional Bachelor’s to Master’s Fast Track Program
During year four, students have the opportunity to apply to the Fast Track Program. Upon admission to the program, students may substitute up to three Criminal Justice graduate courses (500-level classes) for three Paralegal Studies undergraduate courses. Tuition for the graduate classes will be charged at the 3+1 rate, and financial aid will apply.
After the student receives their BA, the remainder of the courses in the graduate MS in Criminal Justice program can be completed in one year. The student can apply a 20% Frequent Flyer discount to tuition.
