Bio:
Dr. Bushra Malik brings a diverse and varied background to the College of Business in Business Analytics, Accounting, Finance and Business Administration from both academia and industry. She has more than 16 years of deep work experience in higher education teaching, student mentorship, curriculum development and content creation. Her industry experience is equally extensive. She has worked in manufacturing, retail, and service industries as an Accountant, Financial Analyst, and an entrepreneur for over a decade. Her business management experience spans over retail, food, and health care organizations working as a senior manager in these sectors.
Bushra received her Doctorate of Business Administration from DePaul University in Business Research with a focus on Accounting Data Analytics. Her MBA is in Accounting and Finance, and she has worked in private and public accounting. She has earned certifications in Cost and Management Accounting to improve cost and budgeting processes for different types of organizations.
Prior to joining ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥, Bushra worked in the capacity of a full-time instructor and as an adjunct at several universities in Chicago land area and online. She taught and counseled a diverse body of young and adult students, of various backgrounds and academic needs at ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥, Aurora University, National Louis University and DeVry University.
Bushra is well travelled and is fluent in both Urdu and Hindi. She understands Punjabi. She can read and write in Arabic and Persian. She can communicate in both British and American English. She was born and raised in Pakistan. She frequently travels to different parts of North America, Canada, United Kingdom, and Asia to stay in touch with family and friends. She strives to visit a new region every year for sight-seeing and personal growth. Her hobbies include nature walks, exploring cities, beaches and woods, hiking, swimming, listening to music and playing with her pet cat.
