Academic Articulations and Affiliations

The University has entered numerous agreements with various schools and agencies for the benefit of our students. Below is a listing of current agreements on file with the Office of Academic Affairs. The list is organized by College, and will continue to be updated as new agreements are developed.

College of Aviation, Science and Technology


Partner Institution Lewis Academic Program Agreement Highlights
College of DuPage BS Biology with Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology Students first enroll at Lewis for two years to complete prerequsite coursework for the certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology at COD. Students will transfer Lewis courses to COD and then enroll in their certificate program for the last two years. The COD courses for Nuclear MedicineTechnology are then transferred back to Lewis to earn the BS degree.
College of DuPage BS Computer Science 3+1 program where students first enroll at COD to complete the AAS plus an additional 32 credits, for a total of 96 at COD including general education and major courses. The last 32 credits of the BS degree are taken with Lewis but taught onsite at COD.
College of DuPage BS Cybersecurity 3+1 program where students first enroll at COD to complete the AAS plus an additional 32 credits, for a total of 96 at COD including general education and major courses. The last 32 credits of the BS degree are taken with Lewis but taught onsite at COD.
College of DuPage BS Dental Hygiene Dual degree program where students first enroll at Lewis for two years to complete prerequsite coursework for the AAS in Dental Hygiene for COD. Students will transfer Lewis courses to COD and then enroll in their AAS program for the last two years. The COD courses for dental hygiene are then transferred back to Lewis to earn the BS degree.
College of DuPage BS Information Technology 3+1 program where students first enroll at COD to complete the AAS plus an additional 32 credits, for a total of 96 at COD including general education and major courses. The last 32 credits of the BS degree are taken with Lewis but taught onsite at COD.
Joliet Junior College BS Computer Science 3+1 program where students first enroll at JJC to complete AAS in either Computer Programming, Game Design and Development, or Computer/Network Security Specialist then transfer to Lewis to complete BS in Computer Science.
Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine BS Biology 3+4 program for students to complete prerequisite coursework for podiatric program. First three years students enroll at Lewis and then four additional years to earn Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State. BS in Biology will also be awarded by ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ after successfully completing first year at Kent State.
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) BS Biology - Dental School Early Acceptance 4+4 program where students gain early acceptance to LECOM before completing BS Biology at Lewis. Once the BS in earned students enroll at LECOM School of Dental Medicine to earn Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.)
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) BS Biology - Medical College Early Acceptance 4+4 program where students gain early acceptance to LECOM before completing BS Biology at Lewis. Once the BS is earned students enroll at LECOM to earn Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) BS Biology - Pharmacy School Early Acceptance 4+4 program where students gain early acceptance to LECOM before completing BS Biology at Lewis. Once the BS in earned students enroll at LECOM Pharmacy School to earn Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
Logan College of Chiropractic Medicine BS Biology 3+3 program for students to complete pre-chiropractic coursework at Lewis and then enroll at Logan College to earn Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). Courses from first year of DC program transfer back to Lewis for students to earn BS Biology.
Midwestern University College of Optometry BS Biology 4+4 program where students gain early acceptance to Midwestern’s Chicago College of Optometry before completing BS Biology at Lewis. This application and the admission decision is determined by Midwestern. Once the BS is earned students enroll at Midwestern for an additional four years to earn their Doctor of Optometry (D.O.)
Midwestern University College of Pharmacy BS Biology 2+4 program where students gain early acceptance to Midwestern's Chicago College of Pharmacy. Students enroll at Lewis for two years to complete required coursework and then transfer credits to Midwestern. Must complete additional four years with Midwestern to earn Pharm.D.
Northern IL University BS Physics to BS Mechanical Engineering NIU Students first enroll at Lewis to complete general education and core engineering courses for the first two years. Last three years include courses from both institutions. Dual degree program where students earn BS Physics from Lewis and BS Mechanical Engineering from NIU.
Northwestern Health Sciences University BS Biology 3+3 program for students to complete pre-chiropractic coursework at Lewis and then enroll at Northwestern Health Sciences University to earn Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). Courses from first year of DC program transfer back to Lewis for students to earn BS Biology.
Northwestern Memorial Hospital BS Diagnostic Medical Sonography Students enroll for first three years at Lewis followed by three semesters at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. BS degree earned from Lewis. No transfer credits involved.
Northwestern Memorial Hospital BS Nuclear Medicine Technology Students enroll at Lewis for three years and then fourth year at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. BS degree earned from Lewis. No transfer credits involved.
Northwestern Memorial Hospital BS Radiation Therapy Students enroll at Lewis for three years and then fourth year at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. BS degree earned from Lewis. No transfer credits involved.
Northwestern Memorial Hospital BS Radiography Students enroll at Lewis for three years and then fourth year at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. BS degree earned from Lewis. No transfer credits involved.
Palmer College of Chiropractic Medicine BS Biology 3+3 program for students to complete pre-chiropractic coursework at Lewis and then enroll at Palmer College to earn Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). Courses from first year of DC program transfer back to Lewis for students to earn BS Biology.
Parkland College BS Air Traffic Control Students first enroll at Parkland College to complete AS in Aviation plus additional general education courses to transfer in maximum of 72 credits. Once students transfer to Lewis, they will be required to complete 58 credits within major to earn BS degree.
Parkland College BS Aviation Administration Students first enroll at Parkland College to complete AS in Aviation plus additional general education courses to transfer in maximum of 72 credits. Once students transfer to Lewis, they will be required to complete 56 credits within major to earn BS degree.
Parkland College BS Aviation Aerospace Technology Students first enroll at Parkland College to complete AS in Aviation plus additional general education courses to transfer in maximum of 72 credits. Once students transfer to Lewis, they will be required to complete 78 credits within major to earn BS degree.
Parkland College BS Aviation Flight Management Students first enroll at Parkland College to complete AS in Aviation plus additional general education courses to transfer in maximum of 72 credits. Once students transfer to Lewis, they will be required to complete 57 credits within major to earn BS degree.
Parkland College BS Aviation Maintenance Management Students first enroll at Parkland College to complete AS in Aviation plus additional general education courses to transfer in maximum of 72 credits. Once students transfer to Lewis, they will be required to complete 78 credits within major to earn BS degree.
Parkland College BS Dental Hygiene Dual degree program where students first enroll at Lewis for two years to complete prerequsite coursework for the AAS in Dental Hygiene for Fox College. Students will transfer Lewis courses to Fox and then enroll in their AAS program for the last two years. The Fox College courses for dental hygiene are then transferred back to Lewis to earn the BS degree.
Parkland College BS Transportation Administration Students first enroll at Parkland College to complete AS in Aviation plus additional general education courses to transfer in maximum of 72 credits. Once students transfer to Lewis, they will be required to complete 58 credits within major to earn BS degree.
Parkland College BS Unmanned Aircraft Systems Students first enroll at Parkland College to complete AS in Aviation plus additional general education courses to transfer in maximum of 72 credits. Once students transfer to Lewis, they will be required to complete 56 credits within major to earn BS degree.
Roosevelt University BS Biology 3+3 program where students gain early acceptance to Roosevelt University's College of Pharmacy. Students enroll at Lewis for three years to complete required coursework and then matriculate to Roosevelt for an additional three years to earn Pharm.D. First year courses at Roosevelt are transferred back to ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ to complete the BS in Biology.
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science BS Biology 3+4 program for students to complete prerequisite coursework for podiatric program. First three years students enroll at Lewis and then four additional years to earn Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Rosalind Franklin. BS in Biology will also be awarded by ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ after successfully completing first year at Rosalind Franklin.
Rush University Medical Center BS Biology 3+2 program where students complete general education and major courses at Lewis and then move on to Rush for additional two years. Students will earn BS Biology from Lewis and Medical Laboratory Science MS from Rush.
Rush University Medical Center BS Biology 3+2 program where students complete general education and major courses at Lewis and then move on to Rush for additional two years. Students will earn BS Biology from Lewis and Respiratory Care MS from Rush.
Rush University Medical Center BS Biology 2+2 program where students enroll at Lewis for two years and then last two years at Rush University College of Health Science. BS degree earned from Rush.
Rush University Medical Center BS Biology Students apply to Rush and when accepted, begin a 3+2 program where students complete three years of course work at Lewis and then move on to Rush for additional two years. Students will earn a BS Biology from Lewis and Clinical Nutrition, MS from Rush.

Central New Mexico Community College BA Organizational Leadership 3+1 program where students first enroll at CNMCC to complete 92 credits, including general education and major courses. The last 36 credits of the BS degree are taken online with Lewis.
Central New Mexico Community College BS Business Administration 3+1 program where students first enroll at CNMCC to complete 94 credits, including general education and major courses. The last 34 credits of the BS degree are taken online with Lewis.
Central New Mexico Community College BS Business Analytics Students first enroll at CNMCC to complete 82 credits, including general education and major courses. The last 46 credits of the BS degree are taken online with Lewis.
College of DuPage BS Accounting 3+1 program where students first enroll at CoD to complete 96 credits, including general education and major courses. The last 32 credits of the BS degree are taken either in Romeville or online with Lewis.


College of Education and Social Sciences

Central New Mexico Community College BA Criminal Justice 3+1 program where students first enroll at CNMCC to complete 96 credits, including general education and major courses. The last 32 credits of the BS degree are taken online with Lewis.
College of DuPage BA Criminal Justice 3+1 program where students first enroll at COD to complete the AA in Criminal Justice plus an additional 32 credits, for a total of 96 at COD including general education and major courses. The last 32 credits of the BA degree are taken with Lewis but taught onsite at COD.
College of DuPage BA Elementary Education, Special Education, Combined Special/Elementary Education, or Middle Level Education COD students complete prescribed Teacher Preparation/Education and general education courses (72 total credits) then transfer to Lewis to complete final two years of BA program (56-58 credits).
College of DuPage BA Paralegal Studies Students from COD complete the AAS in Paralegal Studies and then transfer up to 72 credits to Lewis, including general education and major coursework. The remaining 56 credits are completed at Lewis to earn the BA in Paralegal Studies.
College of DuPage BA Social Work Students from COD complete the AAS in Human Services and then transfer to Lewis to finish the final two years of BA program at Lewis. Agreement includes 65 credits of COD coursework in general education and major coursework, leaving students to complete 63 credits at Lewis.
DuPage Regional Office of Education TIDE Program Education Graduate Programs DuPage students will receive courses leading to ISBE Approved Endorsement (Lewis) in following programs: Reading Teacher Endorsement, Learning Behavior Specialist I Endorsement, and Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement.
Harper College BA Combined Special/Elementary Education, Middle Level Education Science, Middle Level Education Social Science, Middle Level Education English Language Arts, or Middle Level Education Mathematics Harper students complete the AA degree plus additional credits to transfer 70-72 credits to Lewis, including general education and major courses. The last two years are spent with Lewis to complete 56-58 credits for the BA degree.
Joliet Junior College BA Early Childhood Special Education JJC students complete the AAS in Child Development, including 67-69 credits in general education and major coursework. The last two years at Lewis include 59 credits to earn the BA in Early Childhood Special Education.
Joliet Junior College BA Social Work Students from JJC complete the AAS in Human Services and then transfer to Lewis to finish the final two years of BA program at Lewis. Agreement includes 71 credits of JJC coursework in general education and major coursework, leaving students to complete 57 credits at Lewis.
Triton College BA Criminal Justice 3+1 program where students first enroll at COD to complete the AA in Criminal Justice plus an additional 32 credits, for a total of 96 at COD including general education and major courses. The last 32 credits of the BA degree are taken with Lewis.

Northern IL University Law Any BA or BS from Lewis Opportunity for early entry to NIU Law School. Lewis students must complete initial 96 credits of bachelor's degree in three years (including all general education and major requirements) and gain admission to NIU. First year of law school courses transfers back to Lewis to complete bachelor's degree.
St. Mary's University Shared use of Study Abroad program resources between Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥
