ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ to Honor John Carey with Lifetime Achievement Award

The College of Humanities, Fine Arts and Communications (CoHFAC) at ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ will honor John Carey, associate professor of Communications, with a Lifetime Achievement Award at its 2nd Annual Kickback on Saturday, March 8, 2025. The award recognizes individuals who have made transformative contributions to ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥. Honoree John Carey, a double alumnus of Lewis and associate professor of Communications, has spent four decades establishing the campus TV/Radio stations and spearheading philanthropic initiatives such as the WLRA radio station's fundraising for Advocate Children’s Hospitals.
In addition, the studio theatre will be renamed The Keith White Theatre in honor of the 2024 award recipient Professor Emeritus Keith White.
“We are looking forward to our second Kickback and honoring John, who continues to foster industry connections, empower students, and prepare them to make their mark on the broadcasting industry,” said Mark Swain, dean of the College of Humanities, Fine Arts and Communications.
