Annual ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ History Lecture Series Addresses Women’s Suffrage February 23

Although American women were given the right to vote over a century ago, the women’s suffrage movement continues to have its challenges and successes. Author and women’s rights activist Dr. Elisabeth Griffith will discuss American women and their fight for equality at 7:30 p.m. February 23 in Convocation Hall at ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ in Romeoville.
The Spring 2023 James and Mary Clare Sczepaniak Endowed Lecture Series is free and open to the public. A $30 dinner will precede the lecture, visit to register for the dinner.
In this lecture, Griffith will speak on her book “Formidable: American Women and the Fight for Equality, 1920-2020.” It provides a sweeping, century-long perspective and an expansive cast of change agents in the fight by white and Black women to achieve equality
