‘Godspell’ is on Stage April 19-28 at ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥’s Philip Lynch Theatre in Romeoville

ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ Philip Lynch Theatre presents “Godspell” (2012), a moving production that shares Jesus' powerful messages of love, kindness, and tolerance.

“Godspell” (2012), conceived by John-Michael Tebelak will have performances on April 19-21 and April 25-28. The first weekend performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday. The second-weekend performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Saturday and Sunday.

The doors open 30 minutes before the beginning of the performance. The running time of the show is approximately 120 minutes. This play is recommended for ages 13 and older.

Ticket purchases are $15 for adults and $12 for non-students and seniors. ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ students pay $3 with an ID. Ticket purchases can be made online with a credit card on the PLT website at . Click the “buy tickets” link.

Godspell” was the first major musical theater offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz, (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden); and it took the world by storm. Godspell bursts onto the scene with a vibrant mix of music and storytelling. Led by the iconic "Day by Day," the show features a lively cast who act out parables with humor, games, and a unique blend of musical styles - from pop to vaudeville.

The “Godspell“ (2012) cast features the following ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ students: Robert Fudala, Molly Gustafson, Rachel Hampton, Mac Maher, Chole Sheppard, Shiraz Khan, Tia Nicholson-Bourn, Keegan Srebro, Justin (Juice) McCarthy, Michael Goelz, Kyra Sprangler, and Justin Cordero.

Annie Calhoun will serve as director of this production, bringing to life the Gospel according to St. Matthew.

Set Designer, Andrew Nelsen. Costume designer, Celeste Mackey. Working behind the scenes are Janae Larry (stage manager), and Dave Pomatto (assistant technical director). 

The production was conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak, Music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. It was originally produced on the New York Stage by Edgar Lansbury, Stuart Duncan and Joseph Beruh. "Godspell" (2012) is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI ().
