ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ Attends the 2024 Midwest Noyce Regional Conference

The ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ leadership for the Noyce Teacher Scholarship program and two scholars attended the 2024 Midwest Annual Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program Conference held Oct. 18-20 in St. Louis.  

The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship is a program that helps prepare future high school STEM teachers through exclusive opportunities. Scholars can attend workshops, participate in summer research programs, present at conferences and receive post licensure support for their first two years of teaching.  

 The conference attendees on behalf of ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ included: 

  • Dr. Teresa Bixby (professor of Chemistry and co-PI) 
  • Amelia Bresnahan (Secondary Education and Math major) 
  • Dr. Sarah Drake Brown (assistant professor of Education and PI) 
  • Dany Danhausen (Chemistry and Secondary Education, MA alumnus) 
  • Dr. Dorene Huvaere (retired professor of Education and conference committee organizer) 
  • Dr. Marie Meyer (associate professor of Math and co-PI) 
  • Dayanna Sanchez (Secondary Education and Math major) 

With the theme of “Fostering STEM Futures: Resiliency and Assessment Practices,” the Midwest Noyce Regional Meeting consisted of breakout sessions, site visits, keynote presentations and more. The conference strives to enhance the scholarship of teaching and learning among Noyce participants and scholars across the region.
