The 2009-2010 ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ lecture series is now archived online. Art of Memory was the inaugural presentation of a biannual symposium hosted by the ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ History Center. The events were presented in partnership with the Arts & Ideas program at ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥.
Dr. Ewa K. Bacon, professor of , conceived and organized the symposium. Bacon said, “There are 26 presentations on the site. The public might find Dr. Erin Zimmer’s presentation ‘The Biological Foundations of Short Term and Long Term Memory’ interesting. Others might want to view Christian Brother Joseph Martin’s ‘Recovering Family History through Memories.’ The great thing is that these presentations are just a mouse click away.”
Dr. Dennis H. Cremin, director of the ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ History Center, said “It is so exciting to see all of the scholarly work. Dr. Bacon is to be commended for her energy and vision. We are all looking forward to ‘Food for Thought’ and thank Dr. Mike McFerron and Marketing and Communications for allowing us to appreciate the scholarly presentations of the Art of Memory.” The ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ History Center recently announced “Food for Thought” as a topic for Fall 2011/Spring 2012.
