Lasallian Student Commencement Speaker

Each semester, ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ offers an undergraduate student the opportunity to deliver the Lasallian Student Commencement Address. This address, unlike a traditional valedictorian address, is a very different kind of speaking opportunity. The student chosen for this honor is asked to speak about how the Catholic and Lasallian Mission of ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ has had an impact on the speakers’ college experience.

This is the only such experience at ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ that provides a graduate with the opportunity to address his or her student colleagues, faculty, guests and family during Commencement Weekend. It is truly a great honor and a unique, rewarding experience.

Faculty and staff members traditionally nominate students for this honor. The nomination process for the December Commencement Weekend begins in October and the process for the May Commencement Weekend begins in March. Students who meet the selection criteria are also invited to nominate themselves for this honor.
