2. Gros memorial Event
Inspired by the seminal vision of Brother Jeffery Gros, FSC, that all people need to work for understanding and unity among varied religious perspectives, the Gros Institute hosts an annual memorial event to explore dimensions of interfaith and intercultural leadership focused on the common good with cutting-edge scholars and practitioners. The event aims to support sustained, justice-centered dialogue toward social action among students, faculty, staff, and neighbors who relate to religion differently.
3. The FIRE: Fostering Interfaith Relationship through Encounter
The annual Interfaith Forum, known as The FIRE (Fostering Interfaith Relationship through Encounter), seeks to bring together representatives of diverse religious traditions and worldviews for the purpose of engaging in dialogue and building bridges across difference.
At the 2025 FIRE, the Annual Interfaith Forum, a panel of four students shared their experiences of welcome and belonging at ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ and discussed their interfaith relationships on campus. The interfaith forum brought participants together in community around "the fire" to share stories and break bread. Through the practices of storytelling and story listening, the interfaith event focused on the shared Lasallian values present across the diverse religious and cultural traditions of ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥. We explored how stories and storytelling can create meaning, build bridges, and connect communities.
